Not Just for Movies Anymore

One of my new favorite trends for weddings is the popcorn bar. Its a wonderful twist on the candy bar, but even better....Not only can you satisfy your sweet tooth, but those who crave salty can get their fill. I LOVE Popcorn Papa (http://www.popcornpapa.com/search.asp?classID=8). Check out their amazing flavors and their equally amazing prices!

I thought the candy bar was great, but the popcorn bar seems tasty, too. I wonder what else could be served up buffet style like these, too. I also like the idea of themed candy bars, ones with retro candies or foreign candies, or candies selected by the members of the bridal party.

I can't wait for my wedding I was going to do a candy bar already but, I think I may mix the bar with both candy jars and popcorn now. I love this ideal.

I loooove this idea. The candy bar thing is getting a little over done, but this is a perfect twist that still gives you a chance to decorate with favors. Plus, who doesn't love an edible treat?

We considered doing some sort of edible bar, popcorn being one of the elements! I think it's a great idea, especially after a night of dancing and celebrating :) I've seen some really cute themed edible bars - one girl had jars of cookies where each one of her bridesmaids and female family members picked a favorite cookie to be represented. I thought that was adorable!

PS - what a small world... I actually know the 2 girls on the right! :)

I love that people are always coming up with fun new ideas like this. I think the important thing to remember is to make it personal to you as a couple. Serve things that you like to eat and drink...not just the latest fad.

I love this idea!!! We had thought about doing a candy bar, but I thought it was a little over done. Popcorn may be a great alternative... I'm going to have to seriously consider a popcorn bar.

It would be a bit messy but I went to a gourmet caramel apple store last weekend, and thing a caramel apple bar could be amazing. Very almost retro and fair like. Paired with the right theme it would be a lot of fun and very tasty. It would definitely be helpful to have people do the actual making and have guests choose toppings to keep things a little more clean.
